A 56-year-old woman was stabbed to death near Caen and her 38-year-old stepson was taken into custody, the Normandy city prosecutor's office said on Tuesday (September 14th).

The victim was found on Tuesday morning, dead at his home in Colombelles near Caen, according to the same source.
The suspect, son of the victim's companion, "
has a history of psychiatric disorders
," said the prosecution, confirming information from the regional daily Ouest-France.
