The authorities of the Turkish regime issued arrest warrants for 143 people, including military personnel, under the pretext of their association with the organization of the Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by the authorities of this regime of being behind the coup in the country in 2016.
The Turkish newspaper, Zaman, stated that "the Turkish regime's security forces launched a simultaneous campaign of raids against serving and dismissed military personnel from various government institutions, especially the gendarmerie forces, in 43 cities, centered in the capital, Ankara, under the pretext of communicating with elements of the Gülen organization."
Since the coup attempt, Erdogan's regime has launched a campaign against its opponents that included all public and private sectors, and led to the arrest of tens of thousands and the expulsion or suspension of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others from work.
