Former first lady of Haiti describes murder of her husband 4:13
(CNN) -
Haiti's Attorney General Bedford Claude is seeking to bring charges against Prime Minister Ariel Henry in connection with the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, Claude confirmed to CNN.
He cited a phone call that Henry received from a former Haitian Ministry of Justice official, Joseph Felix Badio, who - according to the head of the Colombian National Police - was a key actor in the assassination of the president, and is a fugitive.
Claude told CNN that he is discussing the charges with the judge to whom he handed over the case.
Claude said that he has prohibited Henry from leaving the country.
Claude called Henry to testify - with a subpoena issued on Friday - about the assassination of the president of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, who was assassinated on July 7.
