Internal in the UCR: Martín Lousteau and Gerardo Morales are awarded a share of the victory in the PASO and the tension returns

The leaders seek to position themselves by 2023 and are winners with the results of radicalism at the country level. Echoes of an elementary school that left injuries and promises more fights.

On one side is

Martín Lousteau

.

And on the other,

Gerardo Morales

.

With the defeat of the government still hot, amid rumors of cabinet changes, and while Juntos por el Cambio is debating how to sustain the hit in the general elections, the internal tension between the Buenos Aires senator and the Jujuy governor is growing in the UCR. see who came out better on election Sunday.

And each one has their arguments.

Although neither of the two competed in the ballots, the two put the campaign on their shoulders in different provinces and on the closing the issue escalated to greater levels when

the former ambassador treated Morales as a "hypocrite"

and said: "The thief believes that they are all of their condition. "

It all ended with a cordial call and an apology, but after the STEP the sparks returned.

Now everyone plays their game and conflicting interpretations of

who was the great radical winner of the primaries

began to circulate in the halls of the centennial match

.

What do they say about Morales?

His analysis is blunt: "Lousteau lost in all the places that he presented himself," they claim and only award him as the only triumph that of Luis Juez and Rodrigo de Loredo in Córdoba, where the senator went to campaign with Martín Tetaz.

"Obviously not for its virtues," they shoot.

There, the leader of Evolution held public meetings with Mario Negri, head of the JxC interblock and one of the great defeated on Sunday, which had already been taking place from the internal party.

"All the radical lists supported by Gerardo are the ones that won,"

they defend themselves.

The exception, they explain, was Córdoba and Tucumán.

And they do a recount: they say that in Santa Cruz, where the JxC front defeated Kirchnerism, the deputy Roxana Reyes, who was "their list", won, while Omar Zeidán, the porteño's dolphin, came out fourth.

In La Pampa, they score, they also won the victory because Daniel Kroenenberger, who sealed an agreement with Martín Maquieyra (PRO), won the internal and will be a candidate for senator.

"Lousteau and Nosiglia lost to 'Poli' Altolaguirre," they shoot.

The same thing, they explain, happened in Chaco, where the list sponsored by Ángel Rozas and carried by Juan Carlos Polini surpassed that of Roy Nikish, Together for Change + Evolution, which bore the stamp of Lousteau and Emiliano Yacobitti, referents of Buenos Aires radicalism .

"Formosa is Luis Naidenoff's list that we all support and they play with us," they pointed out near the Jujuy governor.

The bidding in Santiago del Estero, where Gerardo Zamora asserted his power and was one of the few provinces where the opposition did not stand up (it was 40% below the Civic Front), also faced both.

Lucila Rached's list, a reference for

Guga's

space

, lost the internal one.

The fight in Santa Fe, according to Jujuy, also ended in their favor.

"He won the list of Barletta that we support and lost the list of Lousteau, Nosiglia, and Rodríguez Larreta."

My congratulations and support to our Santa Fe referents @barlettamario and @carolinalosada who represent the radicalism that Together for Change needs throughout the country.

In that district, the former Argentine ambassador to the United States supported Maximiliano Pullaro, former Minister of Security, who at times was at the top in the count, but ended up losing at the hands of one of the surprises of the election: the journalist Carolina Losada.

There "Let's change with desire" obtained 30.67% against 28.57% of Evolution.

San Luis was a separate story.

There all the radicals had an electoral performance to be forgotten.

United by San Luis, by Claudio Poggi, snatched the victory from Rodríguez Saá in their fiefdom with 49.92% against 37.36% of Fuerza San Luis.

The UCR obtained only 6.43% in its internship: José Ricardo prevailed.

In the Province of Buenos Aires, close to Morales say that he was an unconditional support for Facundo Manes in his foray into politics.

Moreover, they say that he was one of those who convinced him to "take the leap" and participate in politics.

In these elections @ManesF demonstrated enormous strength and consolidates the path towards a political project in which @UCRNacional will be the protagonist.

In the middle of the campaign there were reproaches from the governor of Jujuy for the radical senator to walk the province with the neuroscientist.

That was one of the points of conflict between the two.

In that territorial breakdown, they point to Gustavo Váldes as an ally of Morales and explain that in Entre Ríos they supported Atilio Benedetti, who is his own troop, and was on the list of Rogelio Frigerio, the great winner of the internship.

However, the ruralista leader was not on the list because the mayor of Chajarí, Pedro Galimberti, took 31.81% and will integrate the candidacies.

Although they clarify: "He is also ours."

A two-pronged game.

What do they say near Lousteau?

The reality is very different according to what they detail about Martín Lousteau.

Although they are just as blunt: "Gerardo Morales did not have any kind of impact in the five main districts of the country, which gather - they calculate - around 80% of the votes."

They put as the first example the City of Buenos Aires,

where the Jujuy governor

supported the Adelante Radicales list,

promoted by Jesús Rodríguez and which had Adolfo Rubinstein as a candidate, who obtained 3.80% of the total votes, but internally de JxC was highly relegated against the almost 575 thousand votes on the list of María Eugenia Vidal and Martín Tetaz, Lousteau's candidate, who also put Carla Carrizo on the ballot.

"In Santa Fe Lousteau bet on the renewal with Maxi Pullaro and we lost by a point and a half, but JXC incorporated 140 mayors who were not there," they argue.

"The second national deputy from the list that remained is Evolución, Vicky Tejada," they add and note that Morales played with José Corral, who was third, but the Jujuy said that his references were Barletta and Carolina Losada, the winners.

His reading of the Province of Buenos Aires is radically different from that of the Jujuy radicals.

"They say that Lousteau toured 15 districts with Manes and Tavela, who is going to be a national deputy," they explain, downplaying the fight that was generated with part of the UCR that asked him to get more involved in the campaign.

Today with @ManesF @danyatavela, @stolbizer, @monzoemilio and @pmdomenichini we toured the center of Lomas and talked with the neighbors. # DarElPaso is putting a brake on Kirchnerism and everything that is happening but it is also leaving the state of resignation.

“In Mendoza, Cornejo triumphed, with a very good dialogue with Evolución and without Morales participating;

in Entre Ríos enters the second of Frigerio who is a member of Evolution.

In Córdoba we bet on party renewal with De Loredo and we beat Negri, Morales, Macri and Carrió by 200 thousand votes, ”they recount.

About Valdés and his affinity with the governor of Jujuy, they only say that the man from Corrientes was having dinner and celebrating the triumph in El Mirasol with Larreta, Vidal and Tetaz, Lousteau's man on the Buenos Aires list.

In Formosa, they

remember that Lousteau went personally to campaign with Fernando Carbajal and made the best elections with almost 30 points.

We toured the center of Formosa with the candidates of Together for Change @ FCarbajal2021 and Mili Maciel.

The lack of alternation makes the leaders appropriate the State.

To change the abuses, courage is required as we have seen in these months in the town of Formosa.

And they mark that, in Neuquén, Pablo Cervi was a bet of the economist and made a huge choice, coming second with 18.16%.

There were no inmates there since Carlos Eguía, candidate of Elisa Carrió who was for the Civic Coalition and who was fourth with 12.54%, was not allowed to compete, getting more votes than any of the three candidates of the PASO of the Frente de Todos .

From Evolution they say that Lousteau is the only national leader that the candidates from the interior want to have in their districts.

Pulls, that's why at the end of the campaign in the province, Martin spoke before the candidates and Morales opened the event, ”they explain.

There is also a generation gap, they point out and speak of a "stagnant party" that is being "overtaken by a renovating space" that is leveraged on the Radical Youth, the Purple Strip and mayors who identify with the Buenos Aires senator.

"The difference between Lousteau and Morales is the attitudinal change, the party of comfort and resignation to being a minority is left behind, that only dedicates itself to its internal and another that is looking at borders outside the UCR to grow and be an alternative of real change, "a source close to Lousteau told Clarín.

In the background there is always the fight for the leadership of the National Committee of the UCR and to see who will succeed Alfredo Cornejo in that chair, which after the good opposition result last Sunday, was much more appreciated in the face of 2023.
