A robbery that was committed 16 years ago on a farm near Freising is still preoccupying the judiciary.

And the Kripo is in the dark.

District

- The public prosecutor's office had bad cards in the process of the robbery on an agricultural property near Freising 16 years ago.

The injured have now died.

A former interrogator who has now been heard before the regional court has been retired for 13 years.

The only witness was deported to Serbia in the summer. The 37-year-old Bosnian, who has to answer for serious robbery and dangerous bodily harm before the fourth criminal chamber, did not appear on the second day of the trial. "Since the accused was finally questioned, the negotiations will continue in his absence," announced judge Andreas Wiedemann, slightly resigned. The 37-year-old had denied the allegation at the beginning of the trial.

As reported, on the morning of May 24, 2005, the defendant and three other men visited the farm near Freising on the pretext of wanting to buy and slaughter a Cameroon sheep.

The animal was actually killed by the group in a garage that had been converted into a slaughterhouse.

In addition, the farm owner, his wife and the foster son were threatened with a gun and tied up.

As can be seen from the reading of the police interrogation of the foster son, he was beaten several times by the perpetrators.

They spared the farm owner due to his old age.

Held in check with a bone saw

The perpetrators took 2000 or 500 euros from the men from their purses. As the foster son reported to the police at the time, they were not satisfied with that: they kept asking for "the cassette". They replied that there was no such thing. "Then Michael lied to us," one is said to have said. Finally, the foster son reported that a perpetrator had kept her in check with a bone saw while the others had turned the house upside down. The robbers had obviously not done this thoroughly enough: They overlooked a safe which, according to the investigation, contained around 80,000 euros.

According to the interrogation protocol, the foster son had provided very detailed descriptions of the perpetrators.

"Unfortunately, they didn't get us any further," said the police officer.

With regard to a suspected tipster from the Freising area, there was a suspect.

However, one could not prove anything.

To the evident indignation of defense attorney Frank Hatlé, the witness could no longer remember which of the injured parties he had heard.

This was also not evident from the files.

"Essentials of an interrogation" are missing

The questioning of the couple - in which defense attorney Hatlé missed "the essentials of an interrogation" - is only noted that it turned out to be "extremely difficult".

According to the witness, he only knew that the two were too excited;

the woman was also scared.

In fact, the questioning of the then 66-year-old reads extremely tightly.

Her 74-year-old husband breaks off in the middle.

However, the farmer had previously stated that four weeks before the crime, "dubious men" had come to the farm to inquire about the possibility of slaughtering.

The process will continue on Friday.
