Last year Thiel came second at the German Championships in Mountain Bike Cross Country.
Bronze for Thiel
Sina van Thiel: “With our great team spirit, we left the favored Swiss and Italians behind us.
A bronze medal at a world championship - my expectations were exceeded in the very first race. "
The U-19 individual race of the Cross Country World Championship was already on the program for Sina the following day.
Right from the start, the woman from Allgäu initially positioned herself on position 2, but during the course of the race was not able to keep up with the leading group around the eventual winner.
Sixth place for Germany
In the end she achieved an excellent 6th place.
“Already in the relay competition I had to realize that I was struggling with the extremely difficult track and that I quickly reached the limit.
Nevertheless, I was able to end an unforgettable week for me with a 6th place for Germany. "
