The National Academic Siberian Russian Folk Choir performed a concert at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus, during which it presented Russian folk dance songs and some plays that reflected Russian heritage and folklore.
The troupe, made up of 79 Russian artists, presented singing and dancing paintings that reflected Siberian culture to the audience, which included members of the Russian community in Syria.
The ceremony was preceded by an art exhibition that included various paintings and pictures of tourist areas in Siberia that reflect life and nature.
The head of the Russian community in Syria, Anna Stasya, in a statement to SANA, indicated that the choir reflected the Russian folklore, the daily life of the residents, love stories and others through folkloric dress that varied during the performance and the lyrics of the songs, noting the common cultural ties between the Russian and Syrian peoples, and that these concerts lead to increased exchange. cultural relations between the two countries.
