Tartous-Sana
The stage of the National Theater in Tartous hosted a musical theater in Arabic and French presented by students of the “Sawa We Read” Institute to teach the French language.
The French language teacher and director of the institute, Minda Yahya, explained in a statement to SANA that the show, titled “My Home,” is to prove the ability of Syrian youth to present lyrical and theatrical performances in different languages, and to emphasize the vitality and continuity of life in our country.
She indicated that the presentation presented by the institute's students of different ages included many representative and awareness "sketches" on the importance of the environment, how to preserve it, and some of the social manifestations and problems that we are currently exposed to.
According to Menda, the show comes as part of the efforts to form a group of 35 members, after it started with only five students, which is evidence in her opinion of the awareness of the importance of theater, especially through the use of social media to promote the band and its activities.
