At around 9.10 a.m., the driver crossed the level crossing on Weiherhofer Str. Directly next to the Fürth Dambach train station, according to a report from the Middle Franconia police *.

According to previous knowledge, the man probably overlooked the red signal light in front of the open level crossing.

The train driver tried several times to warn the Mitsubishi driver on the level crossing with signals.

However, the train can no longer prevent the collision and hits the car in the area of ​​the rear.

The Mitsubishi is thrown to the side.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

In addition to officers from the police inspection and the traffic police inspection in Fürth *, officers from the federal police and employees of Deutsche Bahn also came to the accident site.

The rail traffic had to be stopped for the duration of the accident recording on the route, as the police write.
