25 Syrian plastic artists from different generations and governorates participated in their paintings by honoring the artist, Laila Naseer, to express the value of her artistic career and their gratitude to her for what she presented to Syrian plastic art through her long and rich journey with art.

The exhibition, which was held by the Union of Fine Artists and hosted by the People's Hall in Damascus, included 25 paintings by the participating artists, in addition to 8 paintings by the honorable artist Laila Nasir.

Irfan Abu Al-Shamat, head of the Plastic Artists Union, explained to Sana that the union had recently updated its strategy for developing artistic activity, especially with regard to honoring artists as a step in the path of this activity, praising the artist Naseer for being one of the pioneers of the Syrian art movement and it is our duty to honor her.

The plan of the Union of Artists, according to its president, includes honoring other artists according to age and importance, while opening the door to participation in honoring panels for all artists.

The plastic artist Hussein Saqour presented a painting as a salute to the artist Naseer in which he destroyed the form and reconstructed it in harmony with the entity of the work, as it bears symbols and projections on the reality of the living, pointing out that the honorable worked and enriched the plastic movement in Syria and gave it a lot in its distinctive and expressive style, especially with the pastel pen, which was not Others work.

The artist Sawsan Haj Ibrahim pointed out that she presented a vase as a tribute to the artist Naseer, who deserves a lot as a pioneer of the Syrian plastic movement.

The artist Muhyi Al-Din Al-Homsi considered that today’s honor is a celebration of one of the pillars of Syrian plastic art, and its experience, exhibitions and activities cannot be ignored, indicating that he participated in a new experience of acrylic painting with collage technique that talks about the Syrian human being, using the white color that symbolizes peace and love as it talks about the future of our true mother, Syria. .

The painter Salem Al-Akkawi explained that the exhibition is a love letter to an artist who was distinguished by her long experience in work and creativity.

The plastic artist Moataz Al-Omari participated in a work that mixes the two schools of surrealism and expressionism, measuring a meter by 80 cm.
