A 5.4 magnitude earthquake shook the Chinese province of Sichuan, in the southwest of the country, on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English).
The local government said at least two people were killed and three injured after the earthquake, which local authorities have estimated at a magnitude of 6.0.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was located 52 kilometers southwest of the Yongchuan district and had an initial depth of 10 kilometers.
