In mid-2019, Gustavo Fernando Ramos surrendered to the Santa Fe Police and was arrested as an alleged member of an illicit association.
Then he rejected the accusation against him and alleged that he was accused of being the half-brother of drug trafficker Esteban Lindor Alvarado.
However, this Tuesday he
accepted a sentence of 4 years in prison
as part of the gang.
"El Tuerto" is housed in the Piñero prison and will continue there after the abbreviated procedure approved by Judge Hernán Postma.
The agreement with prosecutors Luis Schiappa Pietra and Matías Edery includes the
seizure of a Scania truck
and the declaration of recidivism, since he had previously served another sentence in the province of Córdoba for drug trafficking.
Ramos said he worked as a transporter, but the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPA) placed him within Alvarado's circle of trust as one of those in
charge of handling businesses
linked to criminal activity.
The evidence gathered in the case indicates that the 49-year-old man played that role from at least September 7, 2018 to April 29, 2019, when his stepbrother had already been behind bars for more than two months.

Prosecutors argued that the defendant was the one who took over when the gang leader was caught in the province of Córdoba at the beginning of February of that year.
Since then, he
has dedicated himself to managing assets and directing the third tier
of the organization.
The remaining two were made up of those who committed violent crimes and the people who worked to guarantee that those acts went unpunished.
Ramos went to visit his relative several times in the Piñero prison before he was arrested and placed there as well.
Since the last attack against the Criminal Justice Center, Alvarado was transferred almost a month ago to the Buenos Aires prison Marcos Paz.
While the preliminary hearing for the gang's trial was taking place, Carlos Argüelles was murdered last week.
The mechanic was
shot in a workshop while he was with his family
.
It was the second attack he suffered in less than a year after testifying against his former boss.
After this episode, the defense of "Tuerto" reached an agreement that
leaves him outside the oral and public debate
on the crimes attributed to the illicit association.
According to the case, until his capture he had been in charge of managing the limited liability companies Toia, Logística Santino, Edra, Sagrado Corazón de María and Logística TSC.

The sole proprietorships and commercial companies registered in the investigation served to supply the criminal organization.
Some properties were the homes of the members or were used to store the vehicles they used.
Based on the directives of his half brother, Ramos was one of the people who
decided how those goods were registered
, at what price they were sold, operated with foreign currency and even intervened in the billing of the services of the denounced firms.
Another of those responsible for managing the resources and businesses linked to the Alvarado gang was Nicolás Marcelo Ocampo.
At the beginning of 2020, "El Fino" was one of the first who signed an abbreviated trial and acknowledged having been part of the criminal association.
On that occasion, he accepted a 3-year prison sentence and was released under a series of restrictions.
5 months ago he
was killed aboard a truck
when he was arriving home with his little son.
