The DPRK denounced the US interference in the Taiwan issue, explaining that it is part of the anti-China pressure offensive that threatens its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The DPRK said in an article published today, "The United States planned to exert international pressure on China by involving its allies such as Japan, South Korea and Europe in the Taiwan issue," explaining that the goal that the United States seeks through its interference in the sensitive issue of Taiwan is to use it as a means. To pressure China to deter it from achieving growth as well as to break up the country.
And she added, "Preventing the division of the country and achieving its unification is a matter related to China's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and therefore no one has the right to interfere in it," stressing that the American moves clearly demonstrate the nature of its ambitions, which leave no way in an attempt to achieve its "vile goal" while China now stands firmly against these moves.
The agency noted that the Chinese party and government denounced the US moves as a clear challenge to the "one China" principle, the three joint communiques between China and the United States, and as "evil acts that violate China's core interests."
We also earnestly declared our determination to thwart the movements of anti-unification forces at home and abroad, solve the Taiwan issue, and thus achieve the country's unification.
The agency stressed that "the position of the Chinese party and government firmly opposed to the attempt by outside forces to establish (two Chinese states) and defend the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity is fully supported by the Korean people," stressing that the Korean people reject US moves to interfere in China's internal affairs and will always stand by the Chinese people.
