- In a fateful moment, Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) took on the young Phoenix (Madelyn Grace), whom he raised like his daughter.
For over eight years he lived with her on the outskirts of Detroit, where he wanted to protect her from all dangers and hardly let her out of the house.
When a group of petty criminals broke into their house one night to kidnap Phoenix, the former, blind soldier does everything possible to protect his daughter, who has meanwhile been able to reveal the secret of her origins.
A dangerous game of cat and mouse begins.
The film turns out to be an action-revenge thriller with goosebumps.

Stillwater - Against all suspicion
- Bill Baker (Matt Damon) worries about his daughter Allison (Abigail Breslin), who has been in custody in Marseille for five years for allegedly murdering her partner of Arab origin.
Bill believes in her innocence.
When new clues emerge, Bill seeks out his daughter's lawyer, for whom the case has already been settled.
But Bill does not give up and meets the French Virginie (Camille Cottin) during his own investigations, who can not only support him as a helpful interpreter.
The thriller not only surprises with many twists and turns, but also with a critical view of "modern" America.
