Berlin - The state of Berlin is one of the three city-states and has been the German capital since August 1990.

About 3.7 million people live here on 30,000 km², which means a metropolitan population density of 4,108 inhabitants per km².

According to the “Global City Power Index” 2020, Berlin ranks seventh among the most liveable cities in the world.

In the 2017 federal election, 2,503,070 Berliners were eligible to vote.

The special feature this year: The Berliners can take two votes on September 26th.

The Berlin counterpart to the state elections, the election to the House of Representatives, takes place on the same day.

The polling stations close at 6 p.m. on September 26th.

Then, little by little, projections and results will roll in.
