No Time to Die:
The world premiere for the 25th Bond film "No Time to Die" was originally planned for November 8, 2019 in the USA.
But due to the corona pandemic, the start date had to be postponed several times.
The new 007 film should now be shown in German cinemas from September 30th.
The film series is cult, in advance there is much speculation about which woman the agent will have by his side, which car he will drive - and of course which watch he will wear.
From today's perspective, James Bond was something of one of the first influencers.
At the start of the new Bond film, the online portal Watchfinder & Co., a specialist in used luxury watches, took a look back at the most iconic watches that the various Bond actors have worn over the past six decades.

Bond inventor Ian Fleming was a Rolex fan himself, so it was no great surprise that the British writer wrote it on his protagonist's wrist and that Connery also wore the watch in the first film.

The timepiece, also known as the "Big Crown" due to its very distinctive winding crown, was first manufactured by Rolex in 1955.
After four years, production was stopped again.
Examples of this watch, also known as the "James Bond Submariner", are now sold for around 460,000 euros.
By the way, Sean Connery also wore this model in the Bond films "Greetings from Moscow" (1963) and "Goldfinger" (1964).

The timepiece can be used up to a diving depth of 600 meters and is based on a new technology: Instead of the so-called Swiss lever escapement, which has been tried and tested so far, the co-axial escapement ticks in this watch.
This reduces the friction between the components at the heart of the mechanical watch and thus reduces the need for maintenance - the watch is more precise over a longer period of time.
For the first time, the Biel-based watch manufacturer also brought out merchandising items to match the film: an Omega watch with a second hand adorned with the 007 logo.

Incidentally, the manufacturers are silent about the boost in sales that the Bond films triggered among watch manufacturers.
When asked, Rolex stated that the Swiss manufacturer does not actively support film productions in principle.
Omega does not provide any information on sales figures either.
But as well as the last Bond strips were received by the audience, the products placed will certainly give the manufacturers a substantial boost in sales.
The Bond hit "Skyfall" (2012) alone grossed an unbelievable 1.1 billion dollars - more than any other Bond film before.
