California Gov. Democrat Gov. Newman has won a landslide victory in a re-election of his Republican opponents, according to a report this morning (Wednesday) counting about half of the votes in the most populous state in the United States.
Newsmagem, who is in his first term, has come under fire for his handling of the corona plague, crime, immigration and huge fires in the country, and has faced 46 rivals - led by conservative radio presenter Larry Elder, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump. After counting about half of the votes, the number of voters who wanted to keep him in office was more than 30% of those who wanted to remove him - 67% compared to 33%. The television networks in the countries announced his victory in the race only about 40 minutes after the polls closed.
"I have responded and am grateful to the millions of California residents who have exercised their basic right to vote," Newsmagh celebrated in a victory speech delivered from the state capital, Sacramento.
"Economic justice, social justice, racial justice, environmental justice - our values, in which California has made so much progress, were all put to the vote tonight."
