, there is a woman capable of hanging from a harness and lifting a man tied to her hair, or dragging a car.
She calls herself
the Lady with the Steel Hair
, her name is Carla Aguilar, she is part of the freak circus and the benchmark in Argentina of this discipline known as "capillary force".
Sensual and mysterious, Aguilar has no problem revealing how she
pulls a car or picks up a man with her hair.
One of its keys is training in traditional circus schools.
From a young age he devoted himself to studying acrobatics, juggling and aerial numbers in Quilmes, the improvement of his technique would come at the Videla Brothers school, in the Creole circus.
"That was the first thing, I got in touch with the traditional circus and I traveled with families that dedicate themselves to this life from birth, from generation to generation. That was very interesting and I was able to see the life of an artist from another perspective," says Carla.
Although "Hair of Steel" practiced discipline since she was a girl, when she
started in the "Circus of Horror"
her acts had more visibility.
The story began with a tinge of darkness: it tells that a clown, for revenge, set fire to a circus in which several artists were burned to death and their banshees could only return to the world of the living through their performances on stage.
There, Carla began to perform various traditional acts of this type of circus, such as
lying on a bed of nails

piercing needles in her arms and in her face

"In our country they had stopped seeing these strange things that were done in the past, where they were exposed to the freak, artists who had surprising abilities and people with deformities. The Circus of Horror took the part of the skills that attract attention", Explain.

To be able to do the impressive act of lifting a man or dragging a car tied to his hair, the keys he mentions are three: concentration, a special conditioning of his hair and a great physical preparation.
"I have to do a lot of bodybuilding, I'm hanging by the hair for a while with all the movements and postures, I work a lot on flexibility. Beyond the body knowing and having everything automated, you have to stay in shape," he says.

Capillary force is a very ancient discipline and is practiced by cultures such as the eastern one where warriors performed it to demonstrate their strength.
"If we take it to what is the traditional circus, it is a classic discipline that was done a long time ago, but
there was a time when it was stopped because it is very sacrificed.
It was put aside, it
was a little devalued
. But in 2014 With the return of the Circus of Horror, the capillary force returned through my character and began to take on a lot of importance, "says the protagonist.
Her nickname of the "Lady with the Steel Hair" was received from a clown friend when they were performing an act in

.
Traditional circus music was playing when he introduced it: 'Here she comes, the Woman with the Steel Hair!'
In time he replaced "the woman" with "the lady."
And today, many of her followers call her directly by her stage name.
Carla is also dedicated to wrestling and is a model.
In addition, she began to teach the technique to many people who contacted her through her social networks.
"People from the circus scene also tell me: 'How good that people can relive these very classic circus numbers!'
