On Tuesday evening, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 13. Four new phones, with a new selling price of between 809 euros for the cheapest iPhone mini and 1838 euros for the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1 terabyte of storage and its large 6.7-inch screen.

Enough to make some people want to turn to the second-hand or reconditioned market - these are devices that are checked and possibly repaired, before being resold at a lower price than new products. Last year, the French refurbished market jumped 20%, reaching 2.6 million smartphones sold, while 16 million new phones were sold. However, more than 80% of refurbished smartphones are iPhones, while their market share in new products in France is only 20%. This overrepresentation of Apple can be explained in large part by its commercial policy. The prices of its new devices are stable, they drop a year after their launch.
Consumers are looking for lower prices.
It is also an act in favor of the environment, by extending the lifespan of a smartphone.
