Many Legislative Council members are concerned about the operation of public light buses. Chen Fan replied in writing that the overall number of prosecutions involving public light buses in 2020 was 5,599, a 33% drop from 2018. Almost all violations were fewer than three years ago, but there were more speeding cases than three years ago.
Chen Fan pointed out that the number of minibuses prosecuted for speeding in 2018 was 416; although it dropped slightly to 390 in 2019, it rose to 432 in 2020, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year, an increase of 42. Cases; also up 3.85% from 2018.

Transport Department invites tenders for 3 green minibus routes
