The crime occurred late in the afternoon, on Sunday, while the entire Buenos Aires metropolitan area was concentrating on the closing of the Open and Compulsory Primary election.
Two assailants tried to
rob
a
service station
located in Cayetano Beliera (Route 8) and Presidente Derqui in the
La Lonja
de
Pilar neighborhood
.
It happened after 8 pm in a YPF in the municipality of the North GBA area.
According to police sources,
two thieves appeared on a motorcycle
and demanded that an employee give them the day's profit.
One of the criminals, not satisfied with the amount of money,
intimidated the 28-year-old employee, with what appeared to be a firearm
, to also give him his cell phone.
While this was happening, another 32-year-old beach man, who was cleaning the station floor, approached the place and ended up handing over his belongings.
The robbery has already been reported in the neighborhood detachment.
The criminals took a wallet with the money of the day's profit.
In the midst of the threats, the criminal who was carrying the weapon accidentally dropped a
rusty iron rod from his sleeve
, which is what he was trying to pass as a pistol.
After discovering the deception, the second beach man threw
the stick of the floor dryer he was using and a bucket of water and detergent on his back

Because of this unexpected reaction, the criminals
fled on the motorcycle
along Route 8 in the direction of Del Viso, snatching a
wallet with 6,500 pesos

The complaint was filed in the La Lonja detachment and is being handled by the prosecutor Germán Camafreitas, from Functional Unit No. 3 in Pilar.

In May of last year, two young men, ages 23 and 26, were arrested for stealing money at two service stations, Shell, located in Las Magnolias and Ruta 8, and at the YPF of Presidente Derqui.
The incident was made known through calls from residents of the municipality who alerted the 5th Police Station of the Derqui Crossing about an assault that occurred 400 meters from the station.

After threatening her with a knife, they took cash from her and escaped along Route 8 to La Lonja.

Just 15 minutes later, another alert entered the emergency system.
Another assault had occurred at the YPF station with the intervention of the same individuals and a vehicle with similar descriptions to those previously provided.
The police officers approached the scene and interviewed one of the beachgoers who claimed that, in one of the fuel pumps, a white Gol stopped and through threats and placing a knife on his back, they stole his wallet with part of the billing of the day, fleeing down Derqui Street, in the direction of the Monterrey neighborhood.
After a raking operation, the police officers were able to observe that on the streets of América and España in the Sans Soucí neighborhood of Derqui, the thieves abandoned the car and escaped through a field.
The 23-year-old subject with a burgundy diver entered a house with an impulse that allowed him to jump a perimeter fence, where his capture was carried out.
The second 26-year-old offender was apprehended in a field, hidden in a well.
Some of the stolen money was recovered and a white magician butcher-style knife was seized that is believed to be one of the weapons used by criminals to commit the robberies.
The case was classified as "qualified robbery", and the Functional Instruction Unit No. 4 of Pilar intervened in charge of Federico Mercader.
