This was reported on Tuesday by the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, who said that this process adheres to the current norm. The decision comes after the authorities removed a statue of Christopher Columbus in one of the most emblematic avenues of the country's capital and planned to replace it with a figure of an indigenous woman's head with the name of "Tlali."
