The mobility week is coming up and the people of Puchheim are probably learning a new word: plogging.

This is made up of the Swedish term “plocka” (pick up, pick) and jogging.

The city invites its citizens to this somewhat different Ramadama for next Saturday.

Puchheim - Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. you can run or walk and take part in the autumn cleaning and pick up rubbish.

That also fits the motto of the mobility week "Active, healthy and safe on the move".

If you want to be part of the dynamic cleaning, you can come to the fitness park behind the sports fields on the Großer Ascherbach from 9 a.m.

You can pick up garbage bags there.

The parking lots are also sporty.

There is gymnastics instead of parking the car.

Parking Day on Friday will make it possible.

“Puchheim is moving” is the motto from 9 o'clock on Lochhauser Strasse at number 49.

The mobility week is a campaign of the European Commission, Puchheim is participating for the third time.

The colorful program starts tomorrow, Thursday and continues until Friday, September 24th.

During this time, the exhibition “Approaching mobility differently” by the Verkehrsclub Deutschland will be shown in the town hall, the city library and the youth center.

From Saturday, September 18, the city invites its citizens to take part in a survey on mobility and traffic planning.

This is possible at www.puchheim-mitgestalten.de, but also at the events.

The organic market on Sunday, September 19, provides information on, among other things, the possibilities of sustainable mobility.

You can ride a rickshaw, try out a cargo bike and familiarize yourself with electromobility.

The auction of found bicycles and the award ceremony for city cyclists should not be missing.

Those interested come to the Green Market between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The most dangerous school routes in the world will be shown on Monday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium on Gernerplatz under the title “The way to school”.

Compared to many children in the world, our children's short journeys to school are very easy and safe to walk or cycle, as the city writes.
