Jean Castex confirmed Thursday that a new envelope of two billion euros would be devoted in 2022 to MaPrimeRénov ', the flagship device to aid energy renovation for which 500,000 applications have already been filed this year.
Traveling to Chilly-Mazarin (Essonne), the Prime Minister set a new goal of "
reaching 800,000 files
" by the end of 2021, which "
would be completely new
".
In 2020, a total of 192,000 files had been filed.

This success, we owe it to the recovery plan which devoted two billion euros to the device
", supplemented by communities, underlined Jean Castex.

will be fully spent in 2021, while we had planned for two years, the finance project, presented next week in the Council of Ministers, will provide two billion additional in 2022
", announced Jean Castex.

The renewal of this envelope was announced in July by the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire, who detailed how 30 billion euros were going to be devoted to the ecological transition within the recovery plan. Jean Castex underlined the scale of the program because there are 11.5 million private dwellings "

" which are veritable thermal strainers.
He also confirmed that the 5.8 million low-income households benefiting from the energy check “will receive exceptional aid of 100 euros to help them pay their energy bill in the face of the current rise in gas and electricity prices.

Regulated gas prices rose 8.7% on September 1, after more than 5% in August and nearly 10% in July.
Seven months before the presidential election, the rise in energy prices represents a sensitive subject for the executive.
