The aid organization Navis stood by the flood victims in Germany.

Now the Moosburger Verein receives money from Zolling.

Zolling

- The aid organization Navis eV from Moosburg can be pleased: The Zolling council decided on Tuesday to donate 12,000 euros to Navis for their previous operations in the flood areas in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.

“Helpers help” is the motto, as Mayor Helmut Priller put it.

ÜWG councilor Karlheinz Wolf applied in July to donate part of the proceeds from the Zolling rapid test center to the flood victims.

In principle, the Zolling municipal council also approved this and set a sum of 10,000 euros.

At the same time, however, the wish had arisen to send this donation to an aid organization based in the district that was deployed in the crisis area.

The choice fell on Navis.

And it will be 12,000 euros that will be transferred to the account, because the appeal for donations to Zollinger citizens resulted in another 1815 euros and Mayor Priller rounded up the amount from his personal treasury.

UBZ municipal council would have liked a different use

In the end, Karl Toth (UBZ) also voted for this proposal, but emphasized that he would actually have wanted the money to be used differently. Of course, he has nothing against the Navis association, but the organization finds it easy to acquire donations. Instead, he would have wished that, for example, in Berchtesgadener Land, where the flood had also caused devastating damage, "looked around" to see if there wasn't a badly affected family to which the money could be donated, all the more so in dire need to alleviate.

Manfred Sellmaier (CSU) requested that the decision-making move to the non-public part.

Because the donation amount could possibly increase again, he indicated somewhat puzzlingly.

Local chief Helmut Priller agreed to do so, but stuck to having the transfer of the donation amount of 12,000 euros to Navis eV publicly voted.

And so it happened.
