Füssen - The “Kulturinitiative Füssen Süd” invites you to a culture festival in Magnuspark am Lech on Saturday, September 18 from 2pm.

The program focuses on the performances of bands, including "Father" with Daniel Engel from the initiative team.

In

response to a

request from

Kreisboten

, Johanna Schmid-Lindner, who is also a member of the team, said: “Our event will take place in any case.

We look forward to live music and the joint exhibition by wood sculptor Julia Hiemer and visual artist Peter Jente. ”The sculptures and paintings will be presented in the art halls on the ground floor.

"On the square in front of the Kunsthalle, which is enclosed between the Lech and Mittelbau, five bands will play one after the other on an open-air stage until 11 p.m.", Schmid-Lindner arouses interest in a spectacle with pop, rock, blues and techno that is rarely offered in Füssen and chansons.

"We are allowed to use the halls until the landlord has found a tenant or is ready to carry out major renovation work," says the co-organizer happily.

When asked, she said: "We can of course continue after this event, but we will discuss every single event with the landlord."

Actively shaping the regional cultural scene

The organizer of the festival is the “Kulturinitiative Füssen Süd”, founded in the summer, which is a GbR.

The cultural initiative, which was founded in the summer, has set itself the goal of creating a place for active cultural promotion in Füssen.

A large group of contributors quickly formed around a small founding team who, with their ideas, know-how, experience and active help, are “part of the whole” for a broader cultural landscape in Lechstadt and the revitalization of the art halls.

"We see ourselves as an initiative that explicitly invites you to take an active part in shaping the regional cultural scene," says Schmid-Lindner, introducing a central point in the concept of the cultural initiative.

A guest from Berlin will open the event on Saturday: Thorsten Rheindorf, lyricist, composer and entertainer and part of the band “I'm sorry for the flowers”.

Afterwards the visitors can look forward to the fact that the bands “Father”, “Lyka” and “Tain” as well as a DJ will be on stage as local heroes.

The applicable health protection rules must be observed. The day entry is ten euros.
