Today, 298 male and female students took the standard exam for admission to the French Language Department at Al-Baath University for the academic year 2021-2022.
Dr. Elias Boutros, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter, the importance of the standard exam in measuring the student’s skill in the French language and its positive impact on entering this section and correcting students’ desires to enter language departments that require specific, specialized and quality capabilities and access to a qualitative level of Students with a focus on upgrading graduates from these departments and languages through their academic years.
In turn, Dr. Nizar Abshi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the university indicated that this exam measures the student's ability to understand the French language to supplement the specialization of students who wish to enter the French language department with conviction to complete their studies and education within these disciplines and to reach a qualitative level of graduates, pointing out The questions are unified for all Syrian universities and are drawn up by specialized professors from various Syrian universities and language institutes. They consist of 50 questions that include skills in grammar, writing and language ability.
