Latakia-SANA
The Directorate of Technical Services in Lattakia has started implementing a sewage project in the village of Hammam al-Qarahleh in the Jableh countryside, as part of the measures taken to protect the Qibbi water spring basin, which is used for drinking water in the village.
Director of Technical Services, Engineer Mazen Al-Hussein, explained to SANA reporter that the works aim to remove the old sewage line from the spring basin, and use modern polyethylene pipes to prevent any future leakage in the spring basin, with a length of up to 360 meters.
He pointed out that the directorate is currently implementing a number of sanitation projects in the countryside of the governorate, in addition to the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the most affected sites, including on the axis of the villages of Kharayeb Salem, Pastawer and Hammam Al-Qarahleh in the far countryside of Jableh.
