In Ramat Gan, it is difficult to digest the hard news last night about the death of the late Barak Khoury, the 12-year-old boy, on the eve of Yom Kippur. "An exceptionally talented child," his acquaintances said, "There are no words ... a child that everything he touched succeeded".
An acquaintance of the family said that Barak rode the bicycle to visit a friend in Petah Tikva.
"He asked on the way a cyclist if he was in the right direction. She explained to him how to drive, and immediately afterwards the vehicle came and hit him. She saw it in front of her eyes."
Tonight there was a meeting of the parents and students of the class at the school where he studied.
The psychological service of the Ramat Gan Municipality also participated in the meeting.
They asked the parents to pay attention to the changes in the children's mood.
One of the students, a classmate, said: "He was our best friend. We are in shock and do not believe."
"Extraordinarily talented."

A friend of the victim's class said: "He was a genius boy. A gifted musician. He painted an artist, a designer by grace. In everything he touched he stood out. He always helped and helped me in math. He is a special child and I do not believe."
"Terrible news"
Carmel Shama HaCohen, the mayor of Ramat Gan, also told of his experiences following the unfortunate news he received from the boy's mother following the fatal accident that occurred last night, in which her son's life was lost while riding his bicycle, by a suspected driver of alcohol.
In an exciting post he posted on Facebook at the end of the holiday, he wrote: "Shortly before eight in the morning, a city resident sent me a shocking and chilling message. Her son, a month before the bar mitzvah, was run over to death on Road 4 by a driver who was apparently drunk.
Mother's message to Shama HaCohen,
"In the Slichot prayer on Tuesday, I explained to the audience in the synagogue," the priest continued, "that contrary to what is thought, the most difficult part of the mayor's role is not the slander but the amount of news and difficult situations that happen in a big city.
"I never imagined we were a day away from terrible news, which for the first time is brought to me not by the professionals but by the parent himself, and it strikes a different kind of shock. Instead of building a light and joy arbor, the Ramat Gan family will share the family's grief Alone with the disaster. "
