The Biden government sanctioned Colombian drug trafficker Zulma Maria Musso Torres and her relatives, as well as two Colombian entities, under the Kingpin Law on Thursday.
According to the Treasury Department, Musso Torres, also known as “La Patrona” or “La Señora”, has been identified as “a major foreign drug trafficker” whose drug trafficking organization (DTO) “controls strategically located maritime corridors in northern Colombia and collects a tax per kilogram from drug traffickers for the protection and safe passage of shipments of multiple tons of narcotics through the DTO control area ”.

"The Musso Torres DTO is responsible for facilitating the transportation of multi-ton quantities of cocaine from Colombia to the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico," the press release reads.
The two sons and Musso Torres 'husband were also sanctioned "for providing material support to Musso Torres' drug trafficking activities."
"(Washington) Antunez Musso, (Juan Carlos) Reales Britto and (Luis Antonio) Bermudez Mejia report directly to Musso Torres and assist in his drug trafficking activities in ports and maritime places in the Magdalena, Atlántico and La Guajira departments of Colombia" said the Treasury Department.

Two Colombian entities —Exclusive Import Export SAS and Poligono Santa Marta SAS— were also sanctioned for their ties to their children.
