The General Authority for Fisheries and Aquaculture farmed 380,000 fingerlings, common carp and comb this week in the lakes of 4 dams in Lattakia Governorate, as part of the authority's plan to cultivate lakes, dams and water bodies to increase the fish stock.
The Director General of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif Ali, indicated that the Authority cultured 300,000 fingerlings carp and comb in Lake Tishreen 16 dam in Lattakia as a first stage, while the remaining fingerlings were cultivated in 3 other dams in the northern countryside of Lattakia, namely, Al-Qanjara Dam with 30,000 fingerlings, 30,000 fingerlings, and Beit Al-Qusair Dam 20 thousand fingerlings and in 3 stages.
