With their babies and toddlers, 18 mothers and fathers took part in the Familienhaus eV parents' meeting on Monday.
While the parents exchange ideas, the children crawl over the grass and picnic blankets on the grounds of the children's and youth farm.
The parents' meeting organized by Familienhaus Unterföhring eV is now regularly so well attended.
“We already had 25 mothers and fathers there,” says Kathrin Abel, the third chairwoman who runs the meeting and has her eleven-month-old son with us.
"In bad weather the conditions are of course not ideal," she explains, addressing a problem that the parents' meeting had already last year.
Because what is still missing are rooms to be able to offer parent exchanges even in rainy weather and on cooler days.
Today the local council decides
The family house is therefore extremely pleased that its concern is on the agenda of today's municipal council meeting.
At 7 p.m. in the Feststadl, a decision will be made on interim use of the rooms at Föhringer Allee 13, where the integrative crèche was formerly housed.
Forest meeting, online meeting, farm meeting ... where does it go next?
Due to the lack of space, the Unterföhring family house first installed the open forest meeting at Poschinger Weiher a year ago and an online meeting during the lockdown.
“The demand is consistently high and so is the voluntary work,” explains Kathrin Abel.
"We very much hope for a positive decision."
In addition to other topics, the use of the exercise pool in the St. Valentinshof senior center by the Unterföhringer swimming club is on the agenda this evening.
