There could hardly be a more beautiful wedding venue in Steingaden: Located on a meadow directly next to the Kreuzberg Church, with fantastic views of the Lechtal Alps and spoiled with history and customs.
Mayor Max Bertl (CSU) was enthusiastic when, in his role as registrar, he was able to ask Andreas and Mirjam Nöß to say yes.

It was a first for the community: On the one hand, because a couple has never married there, and on the other hand, because this event, as Bertl wishes, gave the starting signal for "hopefully many more weddings".
In Steingaden, weddings usually take place in the conference room of the Fohlenhof or in the auditorium of the elementary school.
The Holy Cross Church, also known as the Kreuzberg Church because of its location on the Kreuzberg, is located on a hill in the south of Steingaden and is primarily known because it is the destination of the Ulrich's ride, which takes place every July 4th. The riders first gather with their horses on the market square, then they continue to the church, where a mass is held and the pastor gives the four-legged friends the blessing. The church, which is normally closed, can be visited on this day.
