Urban's two defense lawyers waive an appeal
Hans Urban (43) was sentenced to a fine of 10,500 euros on Monday after several hours of taking evidence for coercion in the act of unity with false suspicion (keyword Google vehicle) (we reported).
After his defense lawyers Hartmut Wächtler and Andreas Hofreiter did not appeal against the guilty verdict, the prosecution withdrew their appeal.
Thus the judgment is final.
Since district judge Helmut Berger stayed below the limit of 90 daily rates (there are 70 daily rates of 150 euros each), the Green politician has no criminal record.

Urban himself has not yet responded to a written request from our newspaper. The same applies to the press office of the Greens parliamentary group in the state parliament. The agricultural master was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in October 2018. He is the spokesman for the Green Group on forest and hunting policy issues and a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry. Hans Urban sent a "press release" after an alleged criminal offense
After the taking of evidence in the main hearing, Berger saw it as proven that Urban was guilty of coercion in the majority of cases with false suspicion after a dispute with the driver of a Google vehicle on his farm in Oberherrnhausen. The Green politician initially prevented the then 25-year-old driver of a Google vehicle from being able to leave the property again with the help of two wheel loaders. But shortly after the Wolfratshausen police investigators had evaluated a cell phone video made by the Google employee, the public prosecutor dropped the proceedings against the young man from Allgäu.
Instead, Urban was targeted by the judiciary.
First of all, at the request of the prosecution in June last year, the Bavarian state parliament lifted the political immunity of the Greens representative without a dissenting vote.
As a result, the Wolfratshausen district court issued a penalty order against Urban - linked to a fine of 10,500 euros.
He did not accept this, so there was a public hearing.

Urban, who on Monday did not want to add anything to his two lawyers' demands for acquittal in his last word, followed the verdict with bowed head.
Judge Helmut Berger concluded that he had "like a bad actor" dropped four times in front of the Internet giant's small car.
