Killed 81 year old in Bari: murderer stopped, he confessed

The alleged murderer of 81-year-old Anna Lucia Lupelli, the woman found dead two days ago, wounded by eight stab wounds, in her home in the Carrassi district of Bari was arrested. This is the 51-year-old Saverio Mesecorto who confessed to the crime. He responds to voluntary homicide aggravated by premeditation. The murder took place at around 1pm on 13 September, the day before the woman's body was found. According to the reconstruction of the men of the Mobile Squad coordinated by the prosecutor Claudio Pinto, the victim was intent on preparing lunch, and in fact at home the agents found the table set and, on the kitchen hob, with the flame still on, a pot with now charred food. The investigations, supported byacquisition of the images of the video surveillance systems and from the numerous statements collected by neighbors and family members, allowed to reconstruct the dynamics and the motive.
