Munich: five-star hotel is looking for a new investor
As the operating family Geisel announced in mid-August, completely surprisingly, they will, according to their own statements, still handle the completion of the new building.
This should be completed by the end of next year, according to the plan.
However, according to information from our editorial team, the Geisel family is already negotiating with various economic investors who are supposed to continue the business of the royal court.
It is not yet known who will take over the management of the five-star hotel from 2022.
Will the billionaire from Austria take over?
But: René Benko should be a very hot candidate. With his Signa holding company, the Austrian real estate magnate already owns large parts of Munich's old town. Above all, this includes the area behind the Königshof, which extends to Bahnhofplatz. The Geisels did not want to confirm this personality yet and so far only stated that they were in "promising talks".
