Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that strengthening relations with the countries of the region is a priority for his country.
"We attach great importance to regional cooperation," Raisi told reporters today, before leaving Tehran for Dushanbe to attend the Shanghai summit, referring to the active role played by the Shanghai Organization in promoting cooperation among the countries of the region.
Raisi pointed out that he will meet in Dushanbe with his Tajik counterpart Imam Ali Rahman, and a number of cooperation documents will be signed, describing his visit as the beginning of a new phase of political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
