The lighting time of the venues is from 6:30 pm to 11 pm daily. The lighting time on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival will be extended to 12 am, but due to the epidemic, there will be no performances and cultural activities.

The three venues for the Mid-Autumn Festival lighting display include Victoria Park, Sha Tin Park and Tin Shui Wai Park.

The six football stadiums in Victoria Park will display a number of colorful lighting decorations. Among them, the 6-meter-high rotating wooden horse lighting decoration is created by local painter Xu Jiaxiong. Other lighting decorations include lanterns and shapes made by primary and secondary school students. Cranes, elephants that reunite with family, lovebirds and twin rabbits lighting up the moon.

As for the lighting in Sha Tin Park, the theme is the underwater world. There will be various marine creatures such as clownfish, dolphins, sea turtles and jellyfish.

In Tin Shui Wai Park, there will be a large 5-meter-high phoenix lighting, as well as white rabbits, beetles, meerkats and robot lights to add atmosphere to the park.

In addition, the energy-saving light and shadow art installation "The Other Side of the Moon" in the open air plaza of the Hong Kong Cultural Center was created by local artist Guo Dalin. It features 6 giant bunny blowing devices using a tablet computer with their heads down, and mirror projection, reflection, and light-absorbing and light-emitting devices.
