Nicolás Nardelli is the second son of Gustavo Nardelli, one of Vicentin's owners, who dies young.

At the age of 37, this Wednesday at 21 he was found lifeless in his home, and his death amplifies the family tragedy in the Santa Fe business group.

According to the police report, his body was "hung up, suspended with a watering hose," and no traces of violence were observed on the body or on the scene of the incident with the naked eye.

This is how a friend found him, who after he did not answer his phone calls went to look for him at his house in Campo Timbó, a closed neighborhood in the town of Oliveros, 40 kilometers north of Rosario, in the province of Santa Fe.

Nicolás was 19 years old when his brother Esteban died after suffering a road accident along with other company executives, in 2003. The crash was due to a mistake at kilometer 71, on the Buenos Aires-Rosario highway, near Campana.

Due to dodging a dog, the car lurched several times and crashed into the trees.

After the loss of his brother, Nicolás began to suffer a depressive picture that he could not overcome.

For this reason, the decision he would have taken to take his own life would not be directly related to the crisis in the family business, in which Nicolás had no direct participation.

Last year, in the midst of the agro-exporter crisis, in bankruptcy and a few weeks after the attempted expropriation of the company carried out by the national government, Nicolás's uncle and CEO of the agro-exporter, Sergio Nardelli, passed away. He was also found lifeless in his home, at the same time, as a result of a massive heart attack that caused his immediate death.

It was on August 12, 2020, when I was 59 years old.

Nicolás's father, Gustavo Nardelli, Sergio's brother -both of the third generation in the family business- wanted to be a candidate for governor in 2019 but finally did not get the endorsement of Juntos por el Cambio.

Months later, he starred in a controversial incident in the middle of the quarantine and the crisis of the company: he was arrested for traveling on a yacht on the Paraná River, a practice that was prohibited at that time, at the beginning of the pandemic.

The current state of the company Meanwhile, Vicentin's bankruptcy continues to be processed, under the charge of Reconquista judge, Fabián Lorenzini.

It is worth remembering that the company declared itself in "financial stress" in December 2010 and two months later began the summons to those who owed them US $ 1.35 billion.

In mid-2020, the national government promoted the intervention of the agro-exporter with a decree and from Kirchnerist sectors they proposed that the company be expropriated. Finally, two weeks before the death of Sergio Nardelli, President Alberto Fernández signed another decree that desisted from the interventionist measure by the Executive Power and the civil and commercial case was under the jurisdiction of the Justice.

The key anyway, is how the debt will be paid to the creditors.

In fact, the purchase-sale proposal must include a restructuring and payment of the company's debts.

In that sense, Judge Lorenzini extended the exclusivity period for the company to propose a payment plan, before November 20, and obtain the majority guarantee from creditors, before December 16.

If that path does not prosper, then there could be a bailout proposal by third parties, creditors or not, and finally the declaration of bankruptcy.
