There is no shortage of ideas about making Moosburg more attractive and better. This was shown by the non-partisan “think tank” initiated by the FDP.

There is no shortage of ideas about making Moosburg more attractive and better.

This was shown by the non-partisan “think tank” initiated by the FDP.

Moosburg

- The bipartisan format chosen by the organizers on Wednesday turned out to be exciting. Moderator Julian Grübl (Fresh) introduced the almost 20 present in the Moosburger Kegelhalle restaurant to a "fishbowl" discussion. The audience was free to join the circle of chairs, that is, to take a seat and let their thoughts run free. The Bundestag candidates Emilia Kirner (ÖDP) and Eva-Maria Schmidt (FDP) as well as Andreas Mehltretter (SPD) sat opposite them for dialogue. A lively debate quickly arose on explosive Moosburg topics such as economic development, schools, the housing market and mobility. The audience actively participated. Interested parties jumped up spontaneously, sat down and contributed their ideas and visions. But that was also becausethat it was almost exclusively party members or city councilors. Only a few voters came to participate in the “Moosburg think tank”.

In order to increase the radiance to the outside world, a “live stream” was quickly installed via mobile phone. As Grübl explained, the think tank could also be followed on the Fresh website. "Anyone who sits down here is in the picture," emphasized the moderator. The Bundestag candidates did not hesitate long. Eva-Maria Schmidt (FDP, 50) raised the question of how the Moosburg business location could be made more attractive, especially for young and middle-aged people. She spoke a lot with craftsmen, explained Schmidt, and discovered that they had great problems finding suitable trainees. Emilia Kirner (ÖDP, 23) pointed out that many young people would graduate from high school. Most would study in their environment, only a very few would prefer an apprenticeship. "It's a shame, actually," said Kirner.Andreas Mehltretter (SPD, 29) referred to the dual education system that needs to be expanded. One “newcomer” from the group cited Baden-Württemberg as an example, where people are specifically informed about professions from middle school at the latest.

There was still room for improvement in Moosburg, for example, with the bus connections.

Someone said that it sometimes felt like a "sightseeing tour", whether it was the large radii.

It was also agreed that the city of Moosburg could do even more for its cycle paths.

One of the most pressing problems was that rents are rising steadily and that there is too little affordable housing.

Doing more for social housing and creating more flexible forms of living would therefore not be a bad thing.
