The first convoy of trucks of the unloaded Iranian fuel cargo moved to Lebanon today (Thursday) and reached the city of Baalbek.
This is after the Iranian ship docked earlier this week in the port of Banias in Syria.
Convoys of trucks are expected to continue to cross into Lebanon in Syria with each convoy comprising 20 tankers.
Following the first ship to dock at a port in Syria, four more ships are expected to arrive from Iran.

The secretary general of the terrorist organization, Hassan Nasrallah, said earlier this week that "during the last period and during the ship's voyage at sea, we had two options - that the ship anchor off the coast of Lebanon so that it unloads its cargo or sails to Syria to the port of Banias.
In order not to cause embarrassment to the State of Lebanon we went for the last option.
"That is, it will anchor in the port of Banias, and the Syrian state will make it easier and secure the tanks for transporting fuel."
Nasrallah warned Israel and the United States last month not to hit the tanker. "From the moment it sailed, it was considered Lebanese property.
"Let no one make a mistake and challenge us, this issue is directly connected to the pride of our people and we refuse to shame them," the Hezbollah secretary general said in his speech in August.

According to Nasrallah, "the purpose of the fuel is not trade or profit but to help alleviate the suffering of the people. Our goal is not to compete with the fuel companies." He further argued that the fuel would be used for public hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, special needs institutions and other institutions.
