Schillingsfürst - In the district of Ansbach * there was a temporary complete power outage in 20 localities on Wednesday afternoon.
As the network operator N-Ergie announced on Thursday (September 16), the towns of Clonsbach, Jochsberg, Schweikartswinden and Stilzendorf, among others, were affected between Schillingsfürst and Leutershausen.
The cause of the power failure was a medium-voltage line that an excavator driver damaged around 2:08 p.m. during construction work on the A7 near Schillingsfürst.
Power failure in the district of Ansbach: Police blocked the A7 in both directions
Since the broken line could have ripped completely and fell onto the street, the police blocked the motorway in both directions for about four hours.
From the early evening, all residents in the affected towns had electricity again.
