From September 15 to October 15, the United States celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, four weeks in which the contributions of Hispanics in different sectors of the country are highlighted, including the cultural one.

Companies also take the opportunity to carry out campaigns highlighting Latino characters.

Among them are the

European

streaming

platforms

Spotify and Deezer and the American YouTube, who released content designed for the date.

From holiday

playlists

to podcasts, these are the platforms' initiatives for Hispanic Heritage Month.

YouTube: a celebration with Selena Gomez

We began with the celebration of YouTube in Hispanic Heritage Month.

For this 2021, the

streaming

platform

presented the mini documentary of the

Artist Spotlight Stories

series

with the singer and actress Selena Gomez.

"

Selena Gomez: Artist Spotlight Stories

shows the star's deep love and pride as a Mexican woman, revealing her family's experience emigrating to the United States, the first time she realized the impact she was having on other young Latinas and her hope in life to remain a good woman, role model and a good person, "YouTube said in a statement.

"If I could speak to the Latino community, I would say, 'Be proud of who you are. You are meant to be exactly where you need to be, no matter what it looks like, whatever it is. Keep trying,'" the singer said in a statement.

The video premiered this September 15 and in less than 24 hours it is already among the most

trending

videos

in the United States.

Also, the musical arm of YouTube released a

playlist

with 98 songs, which is equivalent to 6 hours of music.

It includes songs like "Todo de ti" by Rauw Alejandro, "Telepatia" by Kali Uchis, "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira or "La vida es un carnaval" by Celia Cruz.

Spotify content for Hispanic Heritage Month

If poetry is your thing, Spotify celebrates the Latino community with the "Here Always" campaign, which includes a poem of the same name from the pen of Yesika Salgado.

It was published in podcast format on September 13.

Salgado won the 2020 international Latinx book award in the poetry category.

"The poem speaks to the strength and passion of the Latino community and describes its multifaceted culture," Spotify said through the statement.

Regarding the

playlists

, the platform is highlighting "Mixto", in which they include

Mellizo Shadow's

covers

of "Telepatia", the success of Kali Uchis.

Ambar Lucid performs a Spanish version of the song "Billie Bossa Nova", included in the new Billie Eilish album.

The theme in Spanish is called "Ambar Bossa Nova".

And finally, the Dominican urban singer Tokischa reimagined "La tirana" by La Lupe.

Deezer: from

playlists

to podcasts

Deezer, a

music and podcast

streaming

platform

, is widely used in Latin America.

Now they are making their way into the US Hispanic market.

For Hispanic Heritage Month, a series of

playlists such

as "Acoustic Reggaeton" stand out, in which figures of the urban genre interpret one of their hits on guitar and voice, in a very organic way.

They also highlight a collection of themes to celebrate the independence of Mexico, which they called "Letter of love to Mexico."

There are five songs by artists like Carin León, Matisse or Carolina Ross.

Among the podcasts, the platform highlights the interview with Mexican singer-songwriter Paty Cantú with Deezer's original podcast, "El playlist de mi vida."

And finally, if you like to check your horoscope, the platform also has a podcast where they will tell you everything that is in store for your destination.

If you want to know what the stars tell you, don't miss "Weekly Horoscope for Millennial Astrology".
