A Palestinian attacked an Israeli resident yesterday (before the beginning of Yom Kippur) on the beach in Jaffa near Kedem Street, after he apparently thought he was Jewish.
The 49-year-old Israeli, an Arab resident of East Jerusalem, was moderately injured and sought medical treatment at Wolfson Hospital, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The stabber was arrested and taken for questioning, during which investigators will try to understand whether he actually planned to carry out an attack on a nationalist background.
In a separate incident, a Lebanese citizen crossed into Israeli territory near the town of Metula.
The man was admitted by IDF forces and the current head of security of the settlement. After an investigation, it became clear that this was not a terrorist incident.
