The basis for the establishment of Islamic Jihad began with the Islamic Revolution in Iran in the late 1970s and Khomeini's rise to power. In the past year, every IDF entry into the city's refugee camp has been accompanied by massive gunfire from Islamic Jihad militants. additional.

In response, live ammunition was fired at the fighters from several directions, and they were forced to return fire, killing four activists within minutes.

By order of the headquarters in Damascus, the organization responded by launching rockets from the Gaza Strip at Israel.
