Munich - A serious traffic accident occurred in Munich * on Tuesday (September 14th).

Around 7.40 a.m., a 62-year-old from the state capital was out and about in his VW on Menzinger Strasse.

"After initial investigations, he lost consciousness due to an acute illness and went off the road," reported the police in their press report.

The car then broke through the fence of a property and hit a garbage can house head-on.

Passers-by who witnessed the accident immediately provided first aid and called the emergency services.

Emergency services brought the 62-year-old to a Munich clinic.

He died there a short time later.

"He had not suffered any injuries from the traffic accident," the police clarified.

The total damage to the car, the wooden fence and the bucket house amounted to around 33,000 euros.

As a result, there were no traffic obstructions.

The traffic police have now started investigations.
