The Stake has set up another FB page, Tang Jiahua: It is a responsible practice to delete and open a new account
The Stake has created another Facebook page yesterday, and the statement stated that in the future, it will post information through this new online electronic platform.
When receiving enquiry, Senior Counsel Tang Jiahua, a member of the Executive Council, stated that according to the regulations, the Commissioner of Police has reasonable grounds to suspect that some information on the Stake’s Facebook and website endangers national security, and therefore requested deletion, and these information may not necessarily be from the support. It may also be a message from other citizens.
The Stake Facebook was established as early as 2011. Tang Jiahua believes that the current Stake will delete the entire Facebook account and open a new account. It is a responsible approach. In the future, more stringent standards can be used to manage the account. Messages that have the opportunity to violate national security can be deleted in time.
