At least 50 rebels and pro-government soldiers, including a high-ranking officer, have been killed in clashes in central Yemen, military sources told AFP on Thursday (September 16th).

A colonel and 19 other loyalists have been killed in the past 24 hours in fighting against Houthi rebels in the Al-Bayda district,
" a government military official said, adding that 30 rebels had also perished.
