A young man in his 20s was killed this evening (Friday) in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Road 80 near the Arara junction in the Negev.
Three other people were injured, including two 20-year-olds who were seriously injured and a 40-year-old man who was moderately injured.
The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided them with initial treatment and evacuated them to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva

"In one vehicle, 3 young men in their 20s were trapped. The passenger sitting next to the driver was unconscious, without breathing and without a pulse. He suffered a multi-systemic injury. After medical tests, we had to determine his death on the spot."
"The driver and a passenger sitting in the back were conscious and suffered a severe multi-systemic injury. From the other vehicle, the driver, a 45-year-old man, rescued himself with injuries to his back, limbs and moderate condition.

This is the second case in a day when yesterday a 12-year-old boy who was riding his bicycle on Road 4 was run over to death by Eran Azulai, a resident of the center in his 40s.
Azoulay was arrested for questioning on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and his detention was extended until Sunday.
The suspicion counts that emerge from the investigation are reckless killing, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and reckless driving.
