In the video: 2 buildings were evacuated in Bnei Brak for fear of collapsing (Walla system!)
Nine families from two buildings in danger of collapsing were evacuated last night (Friday) on Bar Ilan Street in Bnei Brak.
This, following a passerby who alerted the fire and rescue center about the dilapidated condition of one of the adjacent buildings.
The evacuation came against the background of the collapse of the building in Holon on Sunday - a day after the evacuation of the 36 families who lived there.
The incident began with the call of the citizen at the fire station - then fire crews from the Bnei Brak station arrived at the scene, where the station commander was also called Deputy Tafser Jackie Binyamini.
Binyamini noticed the poor appearance of the building as well as deep cracks, and decided to evacuate it from all the occupants.
It was also decided to call the city engineer - who determined that there was a danger of a collapse of the building as well as the building next to it, and that all the tenants should be evacuated from both buildings.
Also, firefighters cut off the electricity and gas buildings.
The Bnei Brak municipality has for the time being housed the families who were evacuated at the Viznitz Hotel in the city.

On Wednesday, another building in danger of collapsing on Alley of Kings Street in Kiryat Shmona was evacuated, following a report of a crack found in the wall supporting the building and after assessing the condition of the fire brigade.
A total of six apartments were evacuated from this building by fire and police orders.
The crash in Holon began on Saturday, when occupants of the building on Serlin Street reported to the fire department the sound of an explosion.
Firefighters from a city station arrived at the scene and noticed cracks created in the building, while tenants trying to get out of their homes reported that they could not open the door.
Firefighters assisted in rescuing the occupants, and after assessing the situation on the ground it was decided to completely evacuate all 36 families in the building.
The next day, the building was recorded as it had completely collapsed, and in the records its occupants are seen watching it collapse from the street in astonishment.
